As many of you know we are in the process of having our new field installed at El Toyon. The field will not be completed in time for Spring 8's Season.
Our temporary location for Spring is Penn Elementary School, the lower field. Penn is located in Paradise Hills not to far from El Toyon. The address is 2797 Utica Drive, San Diego, CA 92139.
The first day of practice is March 1st from 5:30 to 6:30. Practices will only be an hour per practice for the first 2 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Reason for this is the field does not have lights. After March 12th and Daylight saving we will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30.
Our games will be played on Saturdays with the first one being on March 26th.

Max roster size for Spring 8's is 16, so teams will fill up fast!!
All divisions in the SDYFC Spring 8's are Unlimited Weight and will utilize the following Grade base/ Age protected format:
DIVISION AGE* GRADE** Freshman 7,8 1,2 Sophomore 8,9,10 3,4 Junior 10,11,12 5,6 Senior 12,13,14 7,8 * A child's age on December 31 is his/her age for the season. ** Grade is based on the current school year, i.e. 2010-2011.
***Practice is held 2(days) a week with games played on Saturdays.

Games are to be scheduled by the conference and no more than one (1) game per week with a minimum of 48 hours (2 days) between games. A maximun of a 8 regular season games are allowed. There are no playoffs or championships. Games will be played on Saturdays commencing on March 26, 2011 and ending on May 21, 2011. There will be no games on Saturday April 23rd due to Easter Holiday.
